Travis
Hill Professional Biography Although only a teenager, Travis Hill has been attending photography meetings and seminars for several years and has worked as the second photographer on weddings for the past five years with incredible success. He has grasped both the concepts of photojournalistic and traditional wedding photography in both color and black & white. Travis holds the degree of Photographic Craftsman from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). At only 16 years of age, he was the association’s youngest recipient of this high honor given for presenting programs to professional photography associations. He also holds the Accolade of Highest Photographic Achievement from Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI). He has earned the designation of Certified Professional Photographer from the Professional Photographers of America and the Professional Photographers of Ohio and is one print merit away from receiving the PPA Master of Photography Degree.
Travis was named the Photographer of the Year by the Triangle
Photographers Association in 2000 and has been named Photographer
of the Year in both 1999 and 2000 by the Society of Northern Ohio
Professional Photographers. In 2001 & 2002, Travis was a Top
Ten Photographer at the Mid East States Print Competition the
past two years and one of his merit images was accepted in the
PPA Traveling Loan Collection. In addition, he has collected four
Court of Honor Awards for his wedding photography. Travis has
lectured extensively with his parents on wedding and Infrared
photography. He was a speaker at the PPA Annual Convention in
1999 and WPPI in 2003 and has lectured to audiences both large
and small across the country. Travis coauthored the book Infrared
Wedding Photography published by Amherst Media and his images
have been selected for inclusion in the PPA Loan Book, PPA Gallery
